Jess Medenbach is a video and media designer, filmmaker, editor and producer and currently a Simonds Fellow and Video and Media Design MFA candidate at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Originally from the Hudson Valley in Upstate New York, Jess studied Film and Electronic Arts at Bard College. Upon graduation, Jess moved to New York City, where they worked in film production and for the media designer, Tal Yarden. Jess has worked on projects ranging from documentary, music videos, video installation to media for live events, theater & opera. They have worked all over the United States and in Europe and has had their work written about in the New York Times and The Creators Project. Jess' work with Tal Yarden on Kaycee Documentary, a documentary project about two elderly sheep ranchers in Northeastern Wyoming, was most recently the featured Midnight Moment in Times Square in December 2016.
